Biosketch

Ms. Westmark has more than 30 years of materials and systems engineering experience working on a wide range of materials research, applied development, and manufacturing technology efforts in industry and the Department of Defense. She has spent the last 10 years at DEVCOM focused primarily on soldier protection technologies. Her research interests include composites and textiles for ballistic protection as well as combat uniform related technologies (including flame resistant textiles, camouflage, and vector protection). She holds master's degrees from the University of Dayton (Materials Engineering) and Worcester Polytechnic Institute (Systems Engineering).
