Research That Supports Healthy Aging
The UMass Lowell Center for Gerontology Research and Partnerships fosters collaborative research on campus and within the region to promote healthy aging that enables adults to grow old with dignity. Given the unprecedented global demographics of aging, critical research is needed in areas such as nutrition, healthy living, chronic disease, cognitive changes in the workplace, formal and informal caregiving, technology use in older populations, and health care costs and challenges.
