The primary objectives of these workshops are:
- to bring together a representative collection of industrial participants associated with composites manufacturing in the marine and wind industries for networking and
- to have productive conversations to identify the challenges facing the composites manufacturing in the U.S.
The industry input shared at the workshops will assist in charting (roadmapping) a course of future research efforts to be pursued to advance the state of the industry in the U.S. The series of collaborative workshops will result in a final report to NIST that state and federal agencies will use to identify topics for future composites manufacturing research funding. Thus, this workshop is an opportunity for industrial participants to share their challenges, ideas and visions for the future of composites manufacturing and to open the conversation for collaboration with industrial, government, academic and non-profit partners.
Workshop attendance is recommended for industry executives, managers and engineers working in the composites manufacturing or supplier industries.
