Anya Peters is an Assistant Professor in the School of Nursing. Her research area of interest is incivility in academia, with a special interest in faculty-to-faculty incivility, stress in the academic workplace, and the impact of incivility and stress on faculty retention. She has just completed a study looking at how academic leaders manage incivility within their schools and departments and how that incivility impedes the academic workplace especially in how faculty are viewed as role models for students. Anya is collaborating with CWW Associates Laura Punnett, Mignon Duffy and Angela Nannini in an ongoing working group related to studying care work and emotional labor. She is also a member of the American Nurses Association Workplace Violence & Incivility Professional Issues Panel Advisory Group.
