The NSF ADVANCE Making WAVES Project includes a range of initiatives designed to promote an academic environment that supports STEM women. The interventions associated with the WAVES project aim to:

  • Disrupt subtle biases and microaggressions
  • Promote alternative support networks for STEM faculty
  • Address organizational policies and practices that can breed bias
