HD TAT Small Business Only Pool
UML RI is a Sub-Prime to National Security Information Associates LLC (NSIA) and Professional Project Services (Pro2Serve and P2S) under the HD TAT Small Business Only Pool and may perform work collaboratively with NSIA/P2S under the HD TAT Small Business ID/IQ contracting vehicle.
Homeland Defense & Security Technical Area Tasks (HDTAT) is a multiple award ID/IQ contract that supports all Homeland Defense and Security-related RDT&E and R&D related A&AS services. This includes all aspects of identified or potential military, national security-related, and dual use applications of information technologies, as well as the development of tools and techniques that enhance the mission of the DoD Research and Engineering community. 
  • Homeland Security & Defense: Counterterrorism, Environmental Security, Aviation Security, Law Enforcement, Fraud Protection, Building and Facilities Security, Border Security, Disaster/Emergency Response and Recovery, and Cyber Security/Information Management. 
  • Critical Infrastructure Protection (CIP): National Infrastructure, Physical and Virtual Systems, Cyber Infrastructure and Continuity of Operations (COOP). 
  • Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD): Defined as weapons that can kill a large number of people or cause damage to man-made structures, national structures or the biosphere. 
  • CBRN Defense: Defense against weaponized chemical, biological, radiological or nuclear agents. CBRN refers to deliberate use of these agents to cause significant harm. 
  • Biometrics: Automated methodology to uniquely identify humans using their physiological or behavioral attributes. 
  • Medical: Any facet of medical research relating to homeland security and defense or military operations. 
  • Cultural Studies: Cultural and sociological analysis – research into the ideology, political and economic nature of a culture in order to better understand its people and government for national security purposes.
  • Alternative Energy: Novel, non-traditional and emerging sources and technologies for harvesting, generating, storing, transmitting/transporting and reusing energy.
