Charles Carr, commissioner of the Massachusetts Rehabilitation Commission, and Executive Vice Chancellor Jacqueline Moloney joined in UMass Lowell’s March 28 celebration of the 20th anniversary of the passing of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Part of Disability Awareness Week, the event featured the reading of a University proclamation by Moloney and a Jeopardy-style game with prizes. Community members were encouraged to write their names and personal commitments to awareness on “Disable the Label” community boards. The boards traveled throughout the campus to the various events held March 28-April 1.
