The National Council of Examiners for Engineers and Surveyors has presented H. William Flood, retired engineering professor, with “The 2006 Northeast Zone Distinguished Service Award.”

Flood, who served on five committees within NCEES, was recognized for his sound judgment and experience in the engineering field.

Flood was appointed to the state Board of Registration of Professional Engineers and Professional Land Surveyors in 1995. He was elected vice chairman and, later, chairman of the board. He remained chairman until July 2004, when he chose not to seek another term.
