Manufacturers would use non-toxic alternatives in their productive processes for their own self interest but few such alternatives are available, John Warner says in a recent issue of the journal Chemical & Engineering News.
Warner contends that this lack of availability is due to the failure to include toxicology or information about environmental laws and policies in chemistry education.
