Dr. Bernadette Johnson, center, of MIT’s Lincoln Laboratory spoke in late March at UML about the characteristics of biological weapons and the technical challenges in defending against these weapons. The event was coordinated by UML’s Oliver Ibe of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department (ECE), right, and Joel Therrien of ECE, left. Johnson also addressed technologies and systems being developed at MIT Lincoln Laboratory to prevent future problems.
