Eamonn Hobbs ’80 Creates Plastics Scholarship Fund

Gift Will Fund Two Scholarships Per Year

A graduate of the Plastics Engineering program, Eamonn Hobbs ’80, has established the Eamonn P. Hobbs Scholarship for Excellence Endowment Fund, which will provide scholarship support to students in the Plastics Engineering Department.  Hobbs is the founder and chief executive officer of a medical device company, AngioDynamics Corporation in Glens Falls, N.Y.


Hobbs' financial commitment, which will be matched by the state under the Public Higher Education Endowment Incentive Program, will create an endowment fund of $375,000 over the next four years. The fund will generate two $3,500 scholarships beginning next year. First preference shall be for students pursuing further study in polymer performance, or medical plastics design and manufacturing.  For more information, contact Senior Director of Development John Davis at 978-934-4806
