When: Tuesday, Oct. 26, 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.

What: Boston’s best-known women sportscasters will join UMass Lowell’s “Politics and Sports” class for a discussion about their career journeys, the challenges they face and the successes they’ve achieved in the male-dominated sports media industry.

Event speakers will include:

  • Abby Chin, NBC Sports Boston, Boston Celtics sideline reporter
  • Courtney Cox, WEEI, co-host of “The Greg Hill Show”
  • Cealey Godwin, NESN, reporter and co-host of “NESN After Hours”
  • Meredith Gorman, NESN, reporter and host
  • Kwani Lunis of NBC10 Boston, social media producer and show co-host

The session will be moderated by podcast consultant Karen Given, a longtime WBUR broadcaster, and UMass Lowell’s Jeffrey Gerson, associate professor of political science.
