Free Event Welcomes Public, Campus to the New University Crossing

What:  U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren will be the first speaker in UMass Lowell’s new series featuring notable authors when she presents a free program for the public and the campus.

Warren will discuss her New York Times bestseller, “A Fighting Chance,” which details her remarkable journey from growing up in a small town in Oklahoma to serving as Massachusetts’ senior senator in Washington, D.C.

At the event, signed copies of Warren’s book will be available for purchase in the River Hawk Shop. UMass Lowell’s new flagship bookstore is located just steps from the University Crossing lobby where Warren will speak. The River Hawk Shop is open to the public, as is the new Crossroads Cafe, also located on the first floor of University Crossing.

The new University Crossing student center is the 10th building opened in five years by UMass Lowell. Located between the North, South and East campuses, University Crossing is hub for student activities and services, as well as events and amenities for the community.
