1:45 to 2:30 p.m.

What: U.S. Sen. Elizabeth Warren will visit UMass Lowell to meet with members of the university community.

Warren’s last visit to campus was in October for the pivotal U.S. Senate debate with then-incumbent Scott Brown, held before a crowd of more than 5,000 at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell. This is her first visit as an elected official.

UMass Lowell Chancellor Marty Meehan, students, faculty and staff will attend the event, where they will hear an update from Warren on her work on Capitol Hill.

Prior to the meeting, Warren will tour the campus. Stops are scheduled to include the Massachusetts Medical Device Development (M2D2) Center. M2D2, which operates an incubator for medical-device startups on the UMass Lowell campus, is a joint program with UMass Worcester that provides expertise to medical-device entrepreneurs in business and product development, as well as clinical pathway assistance.

Where: University Dining, Fox Hall, East Campus, 100 Pawtucket St., Lowell. Please contact UMass Lowell media relations for directions and parking information.
