Jonathan Kozol to Speak During Inauguration Week

WHAT:   Jonathan Kozol will deliver the annual M. Virginia Biggy Lecture as part of inauguration week at UMass Lowell. Kozol is known for his work promoting the rights of children and championing the cause of equal access for all students to high quality public education.  For more than 40 years, he has been deeply engaged in policy debate on issues of class, race, civil rights and public education.  Kozol is the author of “Savage Inequalities,” “The Shame of the Nation,” and “Death at an Early Age.”
