UML Art Students Take Part in the 'Big Show'


LOWELL - The University of Massachusetts Lowell Art Department invites the public to celebrate the accomplishments of Art and Design students at "The Big Show", the 15th annual juried exhibition of student artwork.

The show - which will feature a variety of media in fine arts and graphic design - will be on display through May 11 at the Dugan Art Gallery, 883 Broadway St. on UML South.  The gallery is free and open to the public Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The opening reception will be Wednesday, April 27 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., with the awards presentation at 3 p.m.  Students will be judged by a panel that will hand out awards such as Best ofShow, Award for Excellence, Best Two-and Three-Dimension, and Students' Pick.
