LOWELL -- Come see some not-so-big cats jump through hoops in Gregory Popovich's Comedy and Pet Theatre at Durgin Hall on Sunday, December 5 at 2 and 4 p.m. Popovich appears as part of UMass Lowell's Center for the Arts Discovery Series. Trained by his father, a Russian circus performer, Popovich combines his spectacular circus skills with his love of animals to create a unique and refreshing form of entertainment. Popovich and his trained housecats (all rescued from animal shelters) put on a spectacular show, joined by dogs, birds and white mice.
Popovich has traveled the world sharing his love of animals. His unique talent has been featured in People Magazine, the New York Times Sunday Magazine, and seen on the Jay Leno Show and David Letterman.
Tickets are $10 per person; group rates and subscriptions are available.
