LOWELL -- The UMass Lowell Department of Regional Economic and Social Development will introduce a new graduate certificate in Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies in the summer of 2004.
The certificate will require five courses including three requirements: Conflict Resolution; Analyzing Peace, Violence and War; and Field Experience in Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies. Possible electives include Terrorism and Intimate Partner Violence.
The program would be appropriate for students with a background in human services, law enforcement, health care and education, among others.
