UMass Lowell Announces New Accelerated Classes

LOWELL -The University of Massachusetts Lowell Division of Continuing Studies and Corporate Education (CSCE) announces its new accelerated courses. More than a dozen topics will be offered beginning in March on campus and online over 10-weeks, instead of the typical 16-week semester.

"We are meeting the needs of our students by offering courses in a wide variety of formats," says Dean Jacqueline Moloney, CSCE. "The University now offers courses six days a week, year-round and online 24-7. It is all about flexibility whether it be for a stay-at-home-mom or a corporate executive."

Courses include General Psychology, Introduction to DHTML, The Short Story, Microeconomics and C Programming, and can be applied to degree programs. Online classes begin March 1. On campus courses are held on Saturdays beginning March 6.

The UMass Lowell Division of Continuing Studies and Corporate Education is one of the largest continuing education programs in New England, overseeing the evening and summer schools of the University.  Credit courses lead to certificate and degree programs in a variety of technical and professional fields.
