LOWELL -- Legendary head coach Bill Riley as well as the UMass Lowell 25th Anniversary Hockey East team will be honored on March 6 when the River Hawks host the University of Maine.

The night's festivities will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Talon Club Room with a pre-game reception. The on-ice festivities will get under way just after 7 p.m. The puck will drop at 7:30 p.m. at the Tsongas Arena.

The first 1,000 fans through the doors will receive a mini stick featuring the six players on the all-time team courtesy of Trinity Ambulance.

Riley was the head coach of UMass Lowell for 22 seasons (1969-91) and led the university to three Division II national championships. He is the program's all-time leader with 363 wins and was the head coach during the transition to Division I and into Hockey East.

UMass Lowell will also recognize its All-Time Hockey East 25th Anniversary Team before the game. The team is made up of goalie Dwayne Roloson, defensemen Paul Ames and Ron Hainsey, and forwards Jeff Daw, Jon Morris and Christian Sbrocca.

In a 68-50 loss to Westfield State on Tuesday night, the Framingham State women's basketball team was led by junior forward Toya Chester of Ayer with a double-double of 13 points and 10 rebounds.
