LOWELL- UMass Lowell's Elad Inbar, a senior from Kiryat Haim, Israel, was named to the Street & Smith's College Basketball Preseason All-America First Team.
Inbar was one of two players from the Northeast Region named among the first and second teams.
Inbar put together team-high averages of 16.1 points and 6.9 rebounds per game while shooting .529 from the floor and .528 from 3-point range last year for the River Hawks, who advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight.
At 6-foot-7 forward, Inbar was a first team All-Northeast-10 Conference selection as well as a first team All-Northeast Region pick by the National Assocation of Basketball Coaches. He was also named the New England Region Division 2 Player of the Year by the New England Basketball Hall of Fame.
