UML Summer Band Camp Presents “Ball in the House” and a Finale Concert

Two events will highlight activities of the UMass Lowell Summer Band Camp in July. On Thursday, July 19, 2001 at 7:30 p.m., the camp is sponsoring a show by Ball in the House, a Boston-based, six-man, pop vocal group that performs everything from pop, R&B and soul in an a cappella style. They’ve toured with ‘N SYNC, The Temptations, the Goo Goo Dolls, and Paula Cole.
The show will take place in the Durgin Concert Hall on South Campus. There will be general admission seating at a cost of $5.00 per person. The show will help support the Mary Jo Leahy Summer Band Camp.
On July 21 at 11:30 a.m. in the Durgin Concert Hall, more than 100 area high school musicians, under the direction of band director Deb Huber, will perform a “Finale Concert” for the Camp. The free concert features a program of classical concert band music. A cook-out immediately follows the concert.
For information on either event, call Deb Huber, 978/934-4133.
