Mario Castaneda is the Founder and Managing Director of Blue Sail Consulting. 

He has successfully managed and led operational and consulting teams at IBM, Polaroid Corporation, The Von’s Grocery Companies, StratX Consulting and many start-ups. Mario also has consulted with leading Fortune 500 corporations, including BMW, J&J, Henkel, PepsiCo, and Abbott Laboratories, as well as start-ups and non-profit organizations. He has participated in and led successful product introductions in aerospace, medical devices, high tech hardware and software, robotics, pharmaceuticals , consumer goods, and retail. Additionally, Mario has advised, trained, and worked with executives and members of Boards of Directors both in the B2B and consumer markets in the U. S. and internationally, including markets in Sweden, France, Japan, U.K., South Korea, Australia, Mexico and Brazil, among others, to launch and implement successful management and innovation initiatives. He has spoken and presented at multiple conferences and organizations including the New England Business Association (SBANE), the Harvard Business School Club of Washington, D.C., The Jindal School of Management Corporate Program at University of Texas at Dallas, the Boston Consortium, and the Project Management Institute. 

He has authored white papers and is coauthor of the article, "Building Marketing Excellence," with INSEAD Marketing Professor and CEO of StratX International Corporation, Dr. Jean-Claude Larreche. 

He has completed executive education programs at the Johnson Business School at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, and at the Management Center Europe in Brussels, Belgium, and has been certified as a Consultant in Blue Ocean Strategy by the Blue Ocean Institute at INSEAD, Fontainebleau, France. He is fluent in English and Spanish and is conversant in Portuguese.
