Accounting Society
The Accounting Department is home to the Accounting Society. Student members of this organization identify numerous outlets for personal development and public service. In addition, the Accounting Society’s programs provide our students with many occasions to learn more about alternative careers and to network with accounting professionals.Career Services
As a Manning School of Business student, you have many resources to help you launch your career development plan. UMass Lowell provides opportunities for you to connect with employers who are actively recruiting on campus, or who visit to speak to classes and participate in class-based activities. We strongly encourage you to participate in events such as a Career Fair as a starting point. These events help you polish your resume and hone your interpersonal skills. In addition to these foundational experiences, you can build on relationships with company representatives through formal and informal networking events and informational sessions hosted by businesses and organizations.
Whether you entered UMass Lowell's Manning School of Business declaring a concentration or came in expecting to explore your options, you're in good company if you change your concentration at some point. There are lots of study options and career paths, so we strongly urge you to do some exploring with the help of a career counselor.

The Office of Career Services and Co-ops can help in several ways:
- Discuss your concerns and ideas about concentrations with a career counselor. We can help you explore and evaluate concentration and their respective career paths. Call 978-934-2355 for an appointment.
- Choosing a concentration and a career path works best when you understand your own interests and skills, and what's most important to you. By taking a vocational assessment, such as Focus2 or SkillScan (all available in the Career & Co-op Center), you can clarify aspects of yourself that may affect your satisfaction with a major and career. Once you complete an assessment, you and a career counselor will discuss how you can use the results in determining your next steps. Call for an appointment.
