Digital Learning Centers are modern iterations of computer labs. They are available for drop-in, instruction, meetings and workshops.

vLabs are virtual labs that allow students, faculty and staff to access the university's software anytime from anywhere, including residence halls, libraries and even from home.

What software is available in my local DLC?

Various Digital Learning Centers have different software applications installed.

How can I get my software installed in a location?

Fill out the software request form and we will get working on it. Please include contact information so we can be in touch about software configurations and requirements.

Where can I save my files?

You may use OneDrive or another online storage provider; e-mail smaller files to yourself; or place them on USB storage. Many systems have a Thawspace that is enabled for convenience and should not be used for long-term file storage. Do not save work locally to the Documents or Desktop folder. Depending on location systems are wiped on logoff, after 8 hours, or upon reboot.

Where can I print?

Most DLC locations are equipped with Uprint printers and release stations, just bring your Ucard and you are all set.

How do I logon to DLC systems?

All DLC locations are connected to the campus network and can be logged on to with @student.uml.edu accounts or @uml.edu accounts. If you need assistance with your account or help resetting a password call the IT Service Desk at 978-934-4357.

When are labs available for drop-in use?

Many locations are used for instruction and drop-in computing. Please check BookIt the campus scheduling system for availability.
