Honors College Fellowships

An Honors College Student Fellowship is a $1,500 grant given to a Commonwealth Honors student for pre-approved scholarly engagement that is overseen and guided by a mentor. Each fellowship must have a critical reading component and conclude with a 15 minute in-person or virtual presentation. The student is expected to invest about 100 hours of focused effort. A single fellowship can be spread across, but cannot exceed, twelve consecutive months.

Please note: Students can only receive one (1) Honors College Student Fellowship.

Eligibility: The Honors student must be in good standing with the Honors College and the university.

The $1,500 grant is credited to a student's financial account. Typically, half of the award ($750) is disbursed at the start of the fellowship, with the second half ($750) disbursed after satisfactory completion of the fellowship and their final presentation.
