Weather Alert 2/20/19: University parking ban begins at 11 p.m.
The Americans with Disabilities Act as Amended 2008 applies to employers with 15 or more employees. This Act protects applicants and employees with qualified disabilities from discrimination on the basis of disability. It also requires access, and that reasonable accommodations are provided for:
Some disabilities are physical. Some disabilities are visible. Many disabilities are neither visible nor physical. Do not assume that someone does or does not have a disability.
UMass Lowell's Persons with Disabilities Administrative Announcement on the Guidelines and Procedures page describes equal opportunity rights and prohibits discrimination against people with disabilities, people perceived to be disabled, people who had a disability now in remission, and people who are closely associated with an individual with a disability.

A current employee may request a reasonable accommodation by making an appointment with an EOO staff person, 978-934-3565, Human Resources and Equal Opportunity & Outreach, Wannalancit Mills, Suite 301, 600 Suffolk Street, Lowell, MA 01854. The EOO staff person will explain and discuss the process, including receiving any relevant documentation from your health care provider.
