North Campus Academic Sector Plan

The North Campus Sector Plan focuses on approaches to addressing the future needs of the UMass Lowell’s North Campus. The campus has been assessed with specific attention given to existing building conditions; academic uses; the nature of Campus life and the campus physical environment. The resulting draft recommendations suggest ways to update North Campus facilities, becoming more efficient and developing a multi-year facility improvement plan. The north campus plan will support many of the goals outlined in the 2020 Strategic Plan, including those outlined by the Committee on Undergraduate Education and Student Success, the Committee on Graduate Education and Academic Programs, and the Committee on Facilities Renewal and Campus Planning.
