Professor Michelle Bazin is a Lecturer and Co-Director in the Legal Studies Program. Her principal teaching areas are in the fields of business law, transactional law, real estate law, legal research and writing, legal concepts and paralegal studies. ?She teaches in the undergraduate program and the Division of Online and Continuing Education. ?She has co-authored a text on Intellectual Property, Carolina Press, with other colleagues in the Legal Studies Program. ?She served as President of the North Atlantic Regional Business Law Association (NARBLA) from 2014-2015 and co-chaired NARBLA’s annual conference here at the University in 2014. ?
Professor Bazin is licensed to practice law in Colorado, New York and Massachusetts. ?She has been practicing law since 2000 in the areas of business law, estate planning, probate and trusts, and real estate, including commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, financing, leasing, foreclosures, and land use matters. ?She enjoys bringing her law practice experience to the classroom to help illustrate legal concepts and theories to students.
In addition to her duties as Lecturer and Co-Director, Professor Bazin is on the College of Fine Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Lecturer Advisory Committee and the University’s NCAA Institutional Performance Plan – Governance and Rules Compliance Committee. ?
