Multiracial Studies, Stereotyping and Prejudice, Community-Based Research, Program Evaluation
Rianna is interested in the perception and treatment of mixed-race individuals and those who are racially ambiguous. Specifically, her research investigates how knowledge of ancestry and racial categorization choices inform stereotypes about Black/White biracial people. She is also interested in how different ideologies and circumstances contribute to racial prejudice. As a researcher trained in both community and applied social psychology, the goal of her work is to better understand multiracial prejudice in order to address it in real-world settings.
