Michael Millner currently serves as the Nancy Donahue Professor of the Arts. Michael Millner remains dedicated to one of the great democratic projects of the last 100 years, even as it becomes evermore endangered: the public university. He is Associate Professor of English and American Studies. He often works at the intersection of politics and American culture of the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. For ten years, he has served as Director of the UMass Lowell Jack Kerouac Center, and he coordinates the MA-level Public Humanities and Arts Administration program.
