Research Interests

Intimate Partner Violence, Sexual Assault, Violence Prevention, Program Evaluation, Psychometrics

My research is primarily focused on how gender socialization of men and boys has contributed to their underrepresentation in efforts to prevent violence against women. Goals of this research include: understanding the attitudes and behaviors of men related to violence against women, identifying barriers to men’s engagement in preventing violence against women, identifying catalysts for men’s engagement in preventing violence against women, developing measures used to assess intimate partner violence, sexual assault, and related risk and protective factors, and, translating research findings into prevention strategies.
