Biosketch

Helen Ricci is a Senior Policy Analyst in the National Division’s Law Enforcement Program. Prior to joining the CSG Justice Center, Helen spent nearly seven years as a Boston Police Officer, where she held district-level and city-wide assignments with duties including patrol, booking, plainclothes, and undercover, after graduating second in her Academy class. Former Police Commissioner Edward F. Davis III selected Helen for the Special Operations Division - Mobile Operations Patrol Unit with special consideration for Special Weapons And Tactics (SWAT). Prior to her career in law enforcement, Helen was an auditor for John Hancock Financial Services. Helen received her B.S. in Business Administration (Accounting) from Babson College, an M.S. in Administrative Studies from Boston College, and an M.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Massachusetts Lowell, where she is also currently completing her Ph.D. Her doctoral dissertation will examine policy’s impact on law enforcement perspectives of sex offender registration and notification systems.
