Students selected the sensors and data acquisition system needed to estimate the power output at any given time and over time, the cumulative energy from a given starting point, the energy consumed on site and fed back into the grid, the average efficiency, the solar irradiation over time and cumulative, and the following instantaneous and over time: the temperature of the array back, wind speed, ambient temperature (dry bulb). Students also designed an interface for the museum to display the above information as well as how PV works and its advantages and costs.
