Our goal is to be recognized as one of the Top 50 public engineering programs in the country.
The Francis College of Engineering at UMass Lowell has long served as an economic engine for the Merrimack Valley, providing both talent and technology in engineering, and specifically, in advanced materials, advanced manufacturing, and electronics. Moving forward, the College will expand its research profile to meet challenges in energy, sustainability, information technology, and personalized medicine, while concurrently pursuing educational initiatives that will increase student opportunities and meet workforce needs. Metrics will measure progress in five categories, tracked against peers that match our growth profile.
Ultimately, our goal is to be recognized as one of the Top 50 public engineering programs in the country.
