Graduates wearing white tassels
At UMass Lowell, it has been a long-standing tradition for our graduates to think bigger than themselves and pay it forward for current students who may need help next year. Last year, 3,700 fellow students struggled with food insecurity and 456 students needed emergency financial assistance.
You have a chance to join your 2022 classmates in leaving a legacy by donating to the UML Food Pantry or Student Emergency Needs Fund, which makes a real difference in the lives of students.

Receive a White Tassel for Commencement

When you make a contribution of $5 or more to support either of these areas, or another passion of yours on campus, you will receive a white tassel for your cap at Commencement that you can wear with pride. Tassels can be picked up outside the Tsongas Center on the day of Commencement.
