The Tsongas Center staff (who will be stationed at the East Entrance) will provide assistance for Commencement guests who have special needs associated with reaching their seats.
There is a limited quantity of ADA seating on the concourse level for ticket holders attending Commencement. Thank you for respecting that this area is reserved for those with mobility or health issues who may not be able to manage the stairs to reach general seating. Patrons utilizing the special needs seating platforms may have only one additional guest from their party sit with them so that we are able to accommodate others guests in need of this assistance.
The Tsongas Center doors open at 8 a.m. for the morning ceremony and 1:45 p.m. for the afternoon ceremony. If you require Handicap Parking, or have a need to park in close proximity to the Tsongas, plan to arrive early as the adjacent Ayotte Garage fills up quickly. Please be advised, if you arrive early, you may be required to stand while waiting until the doors open for your graduate’s ceremony.
If you need to drop off a family member at the Tsongas Center, please look for the Handicapped Parking (HP) signs. Guests should then enter the East Entrance where they will be an elevator to the concourse level. Ushers from the Tsongas Arena will be on hand to assist patrons needing help to their seats.
Make sure you provide tickets to whomever is being dropped off and have a plan for where you will connect once inside.
You will find information for graduating students needing assistance under the For Graduates portion of the website.
If you have any questions about accessible seating or assistance for guests attending Commencement, please contact the Tsongas Center at 978-934-5760.
