Commencement Attendees Encouraged to Wear Masks

As graduates and guests prepare to celebrate Commencement Friday and Saturday at the Tsongas Center, UMass Lowell is encouraging attendees to consider bringing face coverings to wear following a change in the COVID-19 community level to high in Middlesex County by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC has recommended individuals mask indoors when COVID community levels are high. This is an individual choice and not a requirement. Additional information regarding the CDC masking recommendation is available at www.cdc.gov.

Students and guests who choose to wear masks will be free to remove them at their discretion for pictures or other purposes.
