Stand-up Paddleboard (SUP) Basics
SUP-BasicsDescription
Almost a private introductory lesson, this small group, relaxed instructional session is an introduction to basic safety, strokes, recovery and flatwater SUP technique. Learn to SUP while basking in the evening glow of the sunset over the Merrimack river. This course often includes a few swims so be prepared to get wet!
Equipment
All necessary program equipment is provided.

Physical Exertion
Easy: Participants will paddle 0-2 mi. / 0-4 km. on flat water conditions with minimal wind. No previous experience is required. Participant must be able to keep head up while wearing a life jacket in deep water. Paddle times usually run 1-2 hours.
Prerequisites
Appropriate for adults and older children when accompanied by a parent.
Must be able to independently keep head above water while wearing in a life jacket/pfd.
No previous experience required.
Cost
The cost is $25 and includes instruction and equipment rental.
