RecKids is a recreational summer camp providing a safe, supportive and fun environment packed with engaging activities for campers aged 6 to 12. Our program, as part of the greater UMass Lowell Campus Recreation Center mission, encourages the pursuit of healthier and happier lifestyles. Our campers enjoy activities including swimming, sports, arts & crafts, field trips, outdoor adventures and much more! Lunch and after-care options are available.

Camp Hours

Camp sessions are scheduled Monday-Friday with structured activities from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Camper drop-off is between 7:30 and 8 a.m. and pick-up between 4 and 4:30 p.m. If a camper arrives later than 8 a.m. s/he must check in with the Campus Recreation Center Welcome Desk and will be escorted to camp by a staff member.

Extended Hours

An optional extended day program is available at a nominal rate for those campers who wish to remain at camp past 4 p.m. Supervision and low energy activities are provided from 4-5:30 p.m. The additional cost is $50 per child for the extended day program.

Camp Staff

Our energetic and well-qualified staff consists of UMass Lowell professionals and highly motivated college students. The camp is under the direction of Meghan Jordan, Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Summer Programs at UMass Lowell.

Parent Orientation

There will be a parent orientation on Wednesday, June 20, 2018, at 6 p.m. (subject to change) in the Campus Recreation Center (CRC). It is highly recommended that parents attend the meeting. The orientation will consist of a facility tour, overview of policies, networking opportunities and an introduction of the staff.
