Our Summer 2021 RecKids Summer Camp sessions have been cancelled due to the COVID-19 Pandemic. Please check back for updated information as it becomes available regarding our summer 2022 program. Thank you for your understanding.
RecKids is a recreational day camp committed to providing a safe, supportive and fun environment for our summer campers. Our program, as part of the greater UMass Lowell Campus Recreation Center mission, encourages the pursuit of healthier and happier lifestyles. Children between the ages of 6 and 12 years old are welcome!
Camp sessions are scheduled Monday-Friday with structured activities from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Camper drop-off is between 7:30 and 8 a.m. and pick-up between 4 and 4:30 p.m. If a camper arrives later than 8 a.m. s/he must check in with the Campus Recreation Center Welcome Desk and will be escorted to camp by a staff member.
An optional extended day program is available at a nominal rate for those campers who wish to remain at camp past 4 p.m. Supervision and low energy activities are provided from 4-5:30 p.m. The additional cost is $50 per child for the extended day program.
Our energetic and well-qualified staff consists of UMass Lowell professionals and highly motivated college students. The camp is under the direction of Meghan Jordan, Assistant Director of Intramural Sports and Summer Programs at UMass Lowell.
There will be a parent orientation on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 6 p.m. (subject to change) in the Campus Recreation Center (CRC). It is highly recommended that parents attend the meeting. The orientation will consist of a facility tour, overview of policies, networking opportunities and an introduction of the staff.
