About Transfer Academic Support
After admission into an undergraduate program and during the first semester, transfers students will be assigned an academic adviser according to his or her major. The role of the adviser is to work with students to to develop an academic plan that makes the best use of transfer credits, and provides the most direct path to the completion of the bachelor's degree. In addition to the transfer advisor, transfer academic support services is also available through the Centers for Learning and Academic Support Services (CLASS).
The goal of Transfer Academic Support is to provide services aimed at meeting the needs of the transfer student. High impact initiatives are designed to contribute to the success of the student entering and progressing through the university, maintain good academic standing, and identify and declaration of appropriate major of the transfer student.
