College is a time of discovery. Students often change majors and minors, veering off to previously unconsidered career paths.

Says Robert Boudreau: “I’m a senior now, with a double major in English Literature and General Philosophy. I chose UMass Lowell initially to major in biochemical engineering, but I realized that wasn’t for me. But I didn’t leave, because the English faculty kept me here.”

Boudreau is also involved in Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honors Societ,) and is president of the University’s student philanthropy club, QUEST.

Says 21-year-old Boudreau, who is from Smithfield, Maine:  “This school offers some amazing classes run by outstanding faculty, and I wouldn’t want to study either of my majors anywhere else. Despite being an out-of-state student, the school has made it financially possible for me to attend, thanks to some amazing financial aid. I would recommend UMass Lowell to anyone looking for an excellent, well-rounded education at a very affordable cost.”
