In just six weeks, you will complete two courses (6 credits) required by your major with built-in tutoring support. Plus, you will participate in academic success workshops on time management, study skills, goal setting and more. You will also have the opportunity to learn about and get involved in many of the opportunities you will have as a River Hawk.

Everything is scheduled in the morning and early afternoon so you still have time to head to a job and take part in activities later in the day.

Program Details

July 8 to Aug. 15 (Summer II)
Monday - Thursday
8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Cost: $2,580

Tutoring & Homework Support: Transitioning to the academic rigor of college courses can be challenging and that is why we have purposely built in a tutoring and homework support session. During this time you will work on material presented in class and will have peer tutors available to support you as you master the material.

College & Academic Success Support: Two days a week, you will participate in college and academic success workshops that will be focused on one thing ... supporting your success as you transition to UMass Lowell. We will work together to meet the challenges that transitioning to college can bring, such as managing your time, setting goals and meeting them, learning how to budget, learning about resources available and how to access them, and learning how to be engaged both inside the classroom and in our campus community.

See the complete list of the academic success workshops, including:

  • Financial Wellness: Budgeting - Where does your money go? How to keep financial on track?
  • Values Auction - What do you want in life? What would you sacrifice to get it?
  • Grit Workshop - Are you resilient?
  • Mental Health Workshop - What is self care?
  • And many more!
