Rosanna is the Coordinator for the River Hawk Scholars Academy (RHSA), a multi-faceted academic support program for first-year, first-generation college students in all colleges at the University. Prior to coming to UMass Lowell, Rosanna worked at NxStage Medical, Inc., had a graduate fellowship as a Coordinator for the Financial Capability Center at Merrimack College, mentored Lawrence High School students in the Lawrence2College program, and volunteered at various non-profit organizations, elementary schools, and after-school tutoring programs. She is very excited to be in a position that allows her to combine her passion for helping underrepresented populations and empowering young people to reach their full potential. As a proud resident of Lawrence, MA, and first-gen college graduate, Rosanna has become very familiar with some of the barriers that first-gen students overcome and strongly believes that providing holistic support and empowerment through programs such as the RHSA can have significant positive impact on breaking cycles and changing futures.
