Biosketch

Arlene Parquette serves as the Associate Vice Chancellor for Industry Partnerships and Economic Development at the University of Massachusetts Lowell. She focuses on a coordinated and holistic approach to connecting industry partners with all of the resources available at UMass Lowell, including the research enterprise. 

Arlene also serves as co-chair of the UMass Lowell corporate engagement committee, which applies a strategic approach to industry partnerships with the university. 

Arlene oversees the Office of Industry Partnerships and Economic Development, Core Research Facilities, Office of Technology Commercialization and New Venture Development. 

The Office of Industry Partnerships and Economic Development provides innovative, cost-effective opportunities for a company to expand its R&D efforts and develop solutions to real-world challenges. 

Core Research Facilities provides shared equipment for faculty and industry partners. 

The Office of Technology Commercialization is responsible for the protection and commercialization of intellectual property at UMass Lowell. 

New Venture Development serves as a model for university cultivation of start-up activity and provides a path for university-owned innovation to become a startup.
