Tom Dreyer is the Associate Vice Chancellor for Facilities Management for UMass Lowell. He has over 30 years of extensive experience in facilities maintenance, construction, planning and capital program management.

He is responsible for overseeing the Facilities Management organization, comprised of four primary groups with a staff of over 180: Facilities Planning (master planning, capital planning, development and real estate), Project Management (design, construction and renovation management), Operations and Services (day-to-day maintenance, repair, housekeeping, trades, grounds and energy), and Facilities Management’s Business and Administration (procurement, budgeting, asset management and personnel).

The physical upkeep and improvements of the campus, currently over 4 million gsf and growing, are the primary responsibilities of this department.
