Biosketch

Mikayla, is a sophomore, pursuing a degree in Nursing. She aspires to become a nurse practitioner, driven by her passion for healthcare and a desire to make a positive impact. Hailing from Haiti as a first-generation college student, she brings a unique perspective to her academic journey. Actively engaged in campus life, Mikayla is a proud member of the Black Student Union (BSU) and Students of Caribbean Origin (SOCA), where she fosters community and advocates for diversity. Outside of academics, Mikayla channels her creativity into content creation on social media, collaborating with fellow nursing peers to share insights and experiences. Her role at the Serenity Center seamlessly integrates her interests in mental well-being and content creation, allowing her to contribute meaningfully to student wellness initiatives while pursuing her professional aspirations in healthcare.
