March 24, 2012: The Mass. Memories Road Show

The Tsongas Industrial History Center is proud to host the Mass. Memories Road Show, a state-wide digital history project that documents the people, places and events in Massachusetts history through family photographs and stories. The goal is to create a digital portrait of the Commonwealth – in all of its rich diversity – for students, scholars, community organizers and residents of the 351 cities and towns that make up our state.

Who can participate? 

Anyone who is a Lowell resident, works in Lowell or has any connection to Lowell is invited to be a participant. 

What do participants do? 

• Bring up to three photos that illustrate life in Lowell. These can be historical or more recent photos of your home, your family, your community, your neighborhood - the choice is yours!

• Items will be scanned and the originals will immediately be returned to you.

• You may also contribute to an oral history video project and tell the story about your photos.

• Learn about how to preserve, identify and date your photos.
