Description
Voices of Change explores life and work in the industrial city of Lowell. A "mill girl," loom fixer, or boardinghouse keeper comes to your classroom in costume and engages students in examining authentic artifacts that reveal what life was like during the Industrial Revolution. Students "become: people from the 1840s and debate whether to sign a petition calling for a ten-hour workday.
