River of Death explores the epidemic that struck the Greater Merrimack Valley. Discover how the origin of the disease was traced and how the event changed what we understood about disease transmission. Great for biology and environmental science units!

This program is offered October 11, 2011 - April 27, 2012.
Fees per class of 30 students: $110 for first school program, $85 for successive same-day program.
Programs may be reserved now for dates during the 2011-2012 school year by calling Lowell National Historical Park at 978-970-5000. Please see our curriculum pages for information about our curriculum packets with pre- and post-visit activities. Tsongas Center has been approved for PASS Program funding support. Contact your local cultural council.
